Volvo Ocean Race is visiting Auckland in March 2015Takapu 2 is an Auckland charter boat offering harbour cruises to watch the in port racing during the Auckland stopover, the fleet departing and dock parties.Take this unique opportunity to be right in the heart of the buzz while the Volvo Ocean Race yachts stopover in Auckland with your own private function on the spacious rear decks of MV Takapu 2; (Winner of the Corporate Events “Peoples Choice” Best National Charter Boat) berthed in the Viaduct directly facing the fleet and Events Centre. In Feb 2015 Auckland will welcome the Volvo Ocean Race to the Viaduct Harbour for their stop over. The boats are expected to arrive in Feb after the 4th leg of the race Sanya ( located in southernmost China's Hainan Province) to Auckland. The Race began in Alicante in Spain on 29 October 2011 and will finish in Galway, Ireland in July 2012. The Viaduct will become a vibrant Race Village with the Events Centre acting as Race Headquarters with lots of entertainment on Latitude Island. .
